Arthur’s Portfolio Submitted for His Application to the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts
Arthur submitted an application to get into The Barbara Ingram Arts High School, located in Hagerstown MD. Part of this application was a portfolio of work and Arthur chose to try to get in the school on the merits of his photography. Some of these photographs were taken out and about, mostly along the C&O Canal, but others were taken in an improvised studio setting that he and I set up in our kitchen. This was done with a black piece of fabric, a stool, and a video light on a mono-pod wedged into the kitchen sink’s garbage disposal. The process of improvisation was almost as fun to us as shooting the photos.
His application to the school was denied.
